Weld Inspection

Quality assurance services are highly desirable for protecting your interests during the shop and field fabrication stages of your projects.  In many instances inspections are required according to applicable codes or standards that are dependent upon your specific fabrications.

B & H Piping can inspect your "critical welding" and "non-critical welding" needs.  "Critical welding" can be defined as;  Welding that is addressed by ASME Boiler and Pressure vessel Code Sections I and VIII, ASME - B31 Pressure Piping Code, AWS D1.1 Structural Welding Code (Steel), AWS D1.6 Structural Welding Code (Stainless) and AWS D9.1 Sheet Metal Welding Code.  "Non-Critical Welding can be defined as; whenever and wherever a weld failure was to occur it would not cause personal injury, future health problems, property damage or significant economic loss or violate a law or regulation.

Visual inspection is the most extensively used nondestructive inspection method  in the industry to verify the integrity of welded components, pipelines and other fabricated items.  Our CWIs' considerable knowledge and experience in areas such as drawing interpretation, codes and specifications, Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) Performance Qualifications (WPQ) and general industry workmanship standards make B & H Piping Systems  an excellent choice for your inspections.

We have qualified personnel that have successfully met the standard  of the American Welding Society (AWS) QC 1:96 Standard for the Certification of Welding Inspectors.  Our Certified Welding Inspectors' (CWI) Nondestructive (NDT) capabilities include;
